LearningSupport

St Monica's School is dedicated to seeing that each student enrolled receives the support they need in terms of both their educational and emotional development.

Our smaller class sizes mean that teachers have more time to spend with each student on a one-on-one basis every day, thus allowing for more constant monitoring of student progress.
Teaching programs provided cater not only to the mainstream student but also offer support to those students with learning difficulties and extend those students with gifts and talents.

St Monica's carries out screening processes to identify those children who need extra assistance and carefully monitors their remediation as part of this process.

A further initiative St Monica's offers, is a specialist Learning Support Teacher who works at the school on a part time basis, supporting small groups of children who have been identified as having special needs, as outlined in the School's Learning Support Program.
